Yardie, directed by Idris Elba is based on the Victor Headley novel, a story that unpacks the underworld of gang culture in the 1980’s and 1990’s. The film follows Dennis (played by Aml Ameen), a wannabe gangster from Jamaican who comes to London, England in the early 1980’s.

In his directorial debut, Elba casts an incredible selection of actors and actresses to unfold the story including Shantol Jackson, Aml Ameen), and arguable the cutest and most talented rising film star in Britain Myla-Rae Hutchinson-Dunwell.
